A. Social Media Workshop
Squeeze more time and efficiency out of your day. Learn how to use two basic tools in any social media-savvy parent or organizer toolkit: Facebook page management and Twitter. How can you keep your school's parent/student community informed and ready to mobilize using these two tools? Bring your laptop or tablet and your smart-phone. Dr. Cynthia Liu, online organizer, blogger since 2003, and founder of K12NewsNetwork.com, will show busy parents and student organizers how to compress time and information to better serve education communities.

B. College student organizing
Student Action for Education (SAFE) is working to found chapters at California Colleges to advocate for the funding needed to provided access for all Californians to get a high quality college education. This workshop will present the materials for starting a SAFE chapter.

C. Parent/Community organizing workshop
Learn how to engage parents and community members to start an advocacy effort. Share and brainstorm ideas and strategies that work. Discuss strategies and activities on what we can do to support June revenue extension.
